2012: A year of appreciating my dogs and cat for increasing my nonverbal skills and learning to better understand them.
* A right eye double blink… I feel left out!
* An ear that is slightly lowered while the other one is up…I’m ignoring Pearl (I have four dogs, Pearl(black) is the loudest and tries to dominate the other dogs)
* A 3 min long stare…I’m listening to you talk to yourself or I’m getting sleepy!
* A paw stroke to my face or shoulder… I love you and can you rub by tummy?
* A low crouching creep out the doggy door when I enter the house… my shoe or undergarments have been play toys and are now scattered around the house!
* An abrupt jump into my lap followed by a lick and stare…please don’t cry or she’s off the cell phone!
* A session of really fast turns accompanied with a low whine…we’re going for a ride!
* A stare then a turn followed by another stare…kitty wants to eat what the dogs are eating!
* A dog at my feet (actually laying on my feet), one on the pillow(where when I open my eyes I see his), another snuggled so close to my back (that I can’t turn) and the last one laying horizontally on the other side of me…We’re exhausted now its time for bed!
2012: I knew it wasn’t all about me.
